I voted for Kerry. This doesn't mean I'm a Bush hater, but I just don't think he's the most qualified for the office of president.

sbrown's Religion rantlets
A prayer which all religions could say in good conscience would be meaningless.

If belief in evolution leads to decadence and moral downfall, then why aren't our prisons flooded with biology professors?

Scott owes me so many movies
went to see "team america" this weekend, and i must say this is the first movie that made me physically ill. (puppets puking for 3 or 4 minutes is NOT my idea of entertainment, thank you very much.) scott owes me SO many movies now. the only redeeming quality was the "vicious panthers" who were loosed by Kim Jung Il upon team america -- they were really cute little black kitty cats!

randomquote/costumes
this is october - the weather report should be crisp, brisk mornings followed by warmish afternoons, but it's been 85 - 90ish most of the month.
random quote for the day (and so sorry i forgot who said it):
"Some people are just late bloomers. When you figure it out -- what you're here for, you'll be eminently prepared to realize it."
didn't get out much today, but i did see:
dylan with sponges plastered all over his clothes. he was "self-absorbed."
a woman in the parking garage who was dressed as a 1890's dance hall girl. i wanted to ask her -- "is that a halloween costume or do you always dress like that?"
stephanie from astronomy was absolutely frightening. it was so hideous, yet so natural.
a very scary masked man poked his head in my office while i was meeting with a student. he didn't say anything -- just stood there. karen said that he frightened one of her baristas -- she knows who he is because of his lurky walk, but she doesn't know his name.
